No Man Cries / Street Song
Where No Man Cries
Set in Glasgow between the wars, this is the story of a town divided with no
time for dreams. Angus McBain is well aware of this, poverty having killed his
father and aged his mother. Angus is determined to overcome such hardships, be
his own man and share all he has with the woman he loves.
Street Song
Susan's parents had wanted a son, and they did little to hide their
disappointment. As soon as it was decently possible, they packed her off to
boarding school. If only they could have known...For in the tradition-bound
Scotland of the 1920s, there was no place for a woman like Susan. But she was
determined to find one.
